將軍是一個幾乎沒有觀光客的小島，整個將軍有好幾個小型的沙灘，跟本島或是隔壁的望安本島比起來，這些沙灘實在是 小兒科。不過這些小沙灘卻充滿了驚喜，旅遊，應該當成是生活的一部分，隨便走走，有很多時候會有意外的發現。如果只是 騎車趕景點，把時間填的滿滿的，那你失去的會比得到的還多。
將軍以前的沙灘是比現在大的多了，自從開環島公路後，阻止了沙灘的成長，沙子被海浪沖刷，卻得不到補充。沙灘越來 越小是正常的，然後又得放大量消波塊來保護道路路基。這根本是自找麻煩，其實馬路可以開在稍高一點的岸邊，往後退十公 尺，很多問題都沒了，也不需要消波塊了，從馬路多走幾秒鐘就到海邊，根本也沒影響。也許，政府單位有他們自己獨特的考 量在吧！？
