- 介紹：
北甲宮夜市每到下午四點過後就成為馬公市民打牙祭的地方，晚上經營到十二點左右，夜貓子都會過來光顧- 澎湖本島地區有兩個地方在夜晚時會聚集幾家餐飲跟娛樂攤販營業，雖然規模稱不是頂大，但是在澎湖來說這兩處就可以稱得上是夜市了，畢竟澎湖才6萬多的實際住民，養不起一個大夜市所需的消費額
- 這兩個勉強稱之為夜市的地方，一處是位在馬公市區中正路上的北甲宮夜市；另外則是西文祖師廟前面的祖師廟夜市。以發展來說北甲宮已經有數十年歷史，西文祖師廟夜市則是這七到八年間才興起，主要也是受到馬公發展飽和後，住宅人口跟商業活動漸漸東移的影響。
- 北甲宮小夜市的歷史最悠久，在北甲宮擺攤的幾間美食攤販都有著幾十年的歷史，口味與品質歷久不衰。北甲宮小夜市每日下午約四點開始營業，店家營業到午夜十二點左右休息，廣場上的美食包括嘉嘉碳烤、北甲宮香腸攤、馬路益燒肉飯、彈珠台，夏天會另外有賣剉冰的攤販營業。雖則小夜市的規模真的十分迷你，店家數目屈指可數，然而這些店家都是歷經幾十年的歷練，仍能贏得當地人的口碑與喜愛，想見食物水準有一定的保證。
- 北甲宮夜市位於馬公鬧區中正路旁，夜間銜接中正路商圈，成為澎湖夜生活最熱鬧，目前也是澎湖地價之王的所在地。
- 北甲宮外棚子內也停著一艘王船，多年未見送王，現任王爺駐守北甲宮保境安民也有段時間，目前七、八十歲的馬公市區高齡居民卻還記得的一句俗話：「東甲好筆尾，南甲好櫓尾，北甲好龜粿」。「北甲」居民清朝時期多是做糕的師傅（龜粿是閩南話，解讀成國語便是做餅糕的好手）。 北甲宮旁巷子內正有著名的春仁黑糖糕
