    • 將軍澳嶼，澎湖縣望安鄉的一個小離島，面積不大，約兩平方公里左右，地形呈西南東北走向，地質屬多孔狀玄武岩，是經由多次的火山爆發，岩漿冷卻後所形成的，環繞在周邊的島嶼有金瓜仔嶼、狗沙仔嶼、望安島、船帆嶼、後帝仔、大塭、鯨魚礁、凹門礁等無人島，其中船帆嶼退潮時和將軍島相連，漲潮時則分離。
    • 望安共有水垵、東垵、中社、將軍、東吉、花嶼、西坪、東坪八個村。其中光是將軍一個村的人口，就幾乎是其他七個村的總合，佔了整個望安人口約一半，這是個相當特殊的現象。
    • 澎湖最早使用動力舢板的地區：將軍。最早使用動力船隻補土魠的地區：將軍。生產最優質文石的地區：將軍。最早撈珊瑚的地區：將軍。因此在六七零年代將軍繁華異常，人稱小香港，小小的將軍島最盛時期有大約八千人居住，將軍也是澎湖少數在早年就開始建樓房的地區。因此在將軍兩樓、三樓、四樓的樓房一大堆，直到現在將軍人仍在整個望安擁有政治上的操縱權，鄉長、議員都是將軍人。
    • 不過這二十年來魚源枯竭，整個將軍的人口也大量外移，將軍目前實際居住人數約不足一千人，大部分是老人，連小孩都不是很多。由於將軍沒落了，又加上交通的不便，因此目前將軍有著在澎湖來講還相當不錯的生態。可惜的是當地人的環境意識尚有待改善，在海邊倒垃圾燒廢棄物的人仍然存在，如果大家能有共識保護這片海洋，將軍澳嶼有著澎湖諸多離島中極佳的觀光資源存在。

    • 將軍島目前擁有極為豐富的海底珊瑚景觀..全島四周海域珊瑚覆蓋率約98%幾乎是百分之百..是全台灣珊瑚覆蓋率最高的地區..也有為數極多的窄巷老房..非常傳統的柑仔店..是一個很適合放慢腳步悠閒度假的島嶼..

    • 想要前往將軍澳嶼，其實非常簡單，只要能想辦法到望安，在望安就能請民間渡船搭載前往將軍，光正輪更是定期往返馬公--望安(或將軍)的民間交通船。
    • 南海之星(到望安)：南海之星是官方交通船，除了定期維修日或者風浪太大之外，算是每天開航。
      • 馬公9:00　→　望安10:00
      • 望安14:30　→　馬公16:00前　　但南海之星回程自七美發船，因此抵達望安並返回馬公時間較不固定，應以公共車船管理處網頁公告時間為主。
    • 民間快艇：不固定，請向代辦業者或望安當地業者詢問。
    • 光正輪：

  • 望安到將軍：除上述光正輪外，還有下述兩種方式
    • 民間渡船：隨call隨到，不限時
      • 三人以內只能包船，單趟價格120元，視人數平均分攤；超過三人者，每人單趟為40元。

      • 阿杜船長是與貝殼屋合作的望將渡船，電話0931044072
    • 望安鄉公所交通船：每星期一至星期五，每日各兩班
      • 將軍澳→望安：8:00　　及　　14:00

  • 將軍浮潛之旅：

    • 將軍是一個標準的鄉村，多數人的三餐都是在家中解決的，也因此外食人口非常的少，所以大家來到將軍，必須跳脫在馬公的旅遊模式，甚至連在七美、望安的模式也不能套用，因為七美望安還有不少早餐店和小吃店。而將軍這個島，早餐店僅有阿春早餐店及將軍澳手工包子饅頭兩家，小吃店嚴格講來是沒有，僅有將軍貝殼館民宿和將軍小吃店這兩家有提供炒飯炒麵這一類的熱炒。目前將軍還不是個觀光區域，只是個標準的漁村，但也因此提供了尋找庶民小吃的樂趣。
