- 星月小樓主人為澎湖地區從事建築的設計師，對於建築學有專精，成就了星月小樓這棟有著細膩海洋風的鄉間別墅。
- 星月小樓座落於菜園社區高地上，屋前有一大片翠綠草原及望海亭，往下俯瞰便是菜園牡蠣養殖區，海面上則是蔚為風行的海上牧場活動平台，白天有藍天碧海襯托，到了夜間鄰近鮮少光害，也可欣賞滿天星斗。
- 民宿映入眼簾的是雪白的建築主體，尖頂的屋瓦設計帶了點童話王國的旨趣，庭院有小巧的木棧道與涼亭桌椅可供住宿客人夜間乘涼泡茶。以星星命名的各式房間布置了公主床、乾濕分離的衛浴、SPA蓮蓬頭及小陽台，呈現明亮又活潑的細膩海洋風情。
- 住宿星月小樓可免費機場、碼頭接送，免費寬頻網路，房客每日提供早餐，提供免費迎賓茶點。提供現煮咖啡或茶，頂樓也有咖啡座椅可以觀賞海景。民宿主人亦貼心提供日曬後得房客現採蘆薈以鎮靜皮膚。
- 星月小樓鄰近雙湖園賞鳥區，民宿亦提供望眼鏡讓客人前往賞鳥。

- 頂樓咖啡座椅視野極佳，可以觀賞菜園內海海景，夏天夜晚起霧可以看朦朧的南環地區夜色與路燈。
- 民宿老闆娘跟老板精通茶藝，可以教導房客泡茶技術也可以品味老板的好茶葉，可在戶外草坪區泡茶聊天。
- 民宿提供望遠鏡，因為民宿旁就是雙湖園賞鳥區，黃昏或清晨可以到園區內欣賞水庫區的候鳥。
- 提供蘆薈鎮靜皮膚及減少曬傷。
- 民宿位在澎湖牡蠣養殖重鎮的菜園社區，可以請老板代購牡蠣或散步到港區烤牡蠣
- 沿著海岸線可以騎自行車吹海風，黃昏時在菜園到石泉的海堤區騎腳踏車很有感覺，這條路線也是沿著菊島旅行網站2008菊島哥倫布活動的秘徑之一呢！
