易家仙人掌冰的名氣不單單是因為他行銷做得早，強調高比例的仙人掌果原料方是他們和其他相關店家最大的區隔性

看這仙人掌冰淇淋的顏色就知道他們使用多麼濃綢的仙人掌果原料，適合喜歡吃酸的饕客- 澎湖有太多賣仙人掌冰的攤販被稱為澎湖第一家，易家也是傳說中的第一家，真相為何其實不是重點，食物好吃才是王道。易家仙人掌冰使用的仙人掌是老闆一家人親自拿著特製的鐵具到山邊摘採仙人掌果製作而成。為什麼要特製的鐵具呢？因為仙人掌果肉外以及仙人掌葉片上布滿大小不一的刺，不管是徒手或者穿戴手套恐怕都難逃仙人掌刺的毒手，所以易家老闆自製了長剪刀夾來對付仙人掌果。仙人掌採回後還必須去籽、去皮，這些人工手續相當棘手，最後加以攪成果泥加上其他配料方可製作成仙人掌冰，仙人掌使用的比例往往能決定每家仙人掌冰口味的差異。
- 易家仙人掌冰最早記得是吳念真的「台灣念真情」節目報導的，之後諸多媒體跟進介紹，易家就變成觀光客指名非吃到不可的仙人掌冰，生意太好的老闆也因此得罪了當地的其他商家，這也是為什麼易家的攤位沒在古榕樹那頭，而是自己一個攤位在跨海大橋這邊。老闆研發產品的的心思值得鼓勵，後期他們又推出了海菜冰跟南瓜冰等，都是使用澎湖特有的農漁特產下去加工的食品。
