 +副站長smilelong以前暑假常常到這邊來，因為在暑假的時候，大家都會到這邊釣魚，釣的魚的名稱是「ㄏㄚˇ阿」（台語發音），這是一種有點像是白帶的魚，釣的方式是要用甩竿，還有大的浮標，往遠方擲去。當魚上鉤時，由於他的力道很強，因此與他拉扯的過程，就是釣魚最大的樂趣。但是這種魚我們都不會拿去吃，因為魚的裡面有寄生蟲。

　　赤馬沙灘的旁邊會看到一條長長的水泥碼頭，然而你卻發現在碼頭旁，卻一艘船都沒有！這裡便是過去為了消化預算所興建的沒有意義的碼頭之一。根據副站長smilelong的國中赤馬同學告知，過去的赤馬沙灘更加的美麗，然而就在碼頭的興建後，沙灘大量的流失，現在的沙灘雖然美麗，但已經不是過去的沙灘之美可以比擬的。
